Spring Internship Opportunities with Professional Writing and Editing Program at WVU

Collaborations Education Small Business

Would your organization be interested in working with an intern from the Professional Writing and Editing program in the Department of English at WVU?

Both undergraduate and graduate students focusing on professional writing and editing must complete a semester-long internship to earn their degree. Students are especially prepared to take on writing and editing work, but many students have also taken coursework in grant writing, document design, technical writing, social media outreach, and research methods. Our students are eager to apply their skills in real-world settings, gain professional experience and networks, and make our community a better place to live.

Interns will work in the spring semester, from mid-January to late April. Graduate students must complete 100+ hours of work at their site, while undergraduate students must complete 140+ hours.

If you are interested in potentially working with a student earning their Masters or Bachelors degree in Professional Writing and Editing, please reach out to Dr. Erin Brock Carlson at erin.carlson@mail.wvu.edu for more details.
