Thomas Begley Joins First United as Senior Wealth Advisor – Team Lead
First United Bank & Trust proudly announces the appointment of Thomas Begley, CFP® as Senior Wealth Advisor – Team Lead, serving clients in the Morgantown area. The announcement was made by Chief Wealth Officer Keith Sanders.
With extensive experience in financial services and wealth management, Begley brings a strategic, client-centered approach to his new role. He specializes in developing holistic financial planning strategies tailored to the needs of clients, helping them preserve and grow their wealth across generations.
Throughout his career, Begley has demonstrated a strong ability to lead teams and drive growth. He has supervised large groups of financial professionals overseeing hundreds of millions in assets, opened and managed successful offices, and built a thriving client base from the ground up. His expertise includes coordinating tax and estate planning strategies, mentoring financial advisors, and identifying opportunities to expand business and increase investment profitability.
Begley holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from West Virginia University and is a Certified Financial Planner™ Practitioner. He also maintains Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) licensing and has held multiple FINRA certifications.

Begley lives in Morgantown with his wife, Julie, and their five children. In his free time, he enjoys golf, WVU Athletics, and traveling, and he actively serves on the Board of Directors of PACE Enterprises, volunteers with Christian Help, and is a member of the North Central West Virginia Estate Planning Council.
