Community fundraising effort supports new Wall Street Alley mural by Main Street Morgantown and West Virginia artist Blake Wheeler

Main Street Morgantown has launched the Paint Our Story campaign — a community-driven fundraising effort to complete the new Wall Street Alley mural by West Virginia artist Blake Wheeler.

Located on the historic Morgan Theater Building, the mural will celebrate Morgantown’s unique story through imagery inspired by our city’s music, theater, industry and river heritage. This project represents more than art — it’s part of Main Street Morgantown’s broader downtown revitalization initiative to enhance public alley's and spaces and strengthen community pride.

Partial Mural Concept rendered on old Morgan Theater Building along Wall Street Alley.
