Clear Mountain Bank Earns Forbes Top Ranked Bank in West Virginia for Second Consecutive Year

Economic General News Article Press Release Success Stories

Forbes has named Clear Mountain Bank the top-rated bank in West Virginia for the second consecutive year in its 2026 Best-In-State Banks list. Annually, Forbes awards the best banks in each state and ranks them based on customer feedback and online ratings. This year, only 228 banks were recognized, including one “top-rated” in each state.

According to Forbes, the Best-In-State ranking highlights the institutions most valued by each state's residents and highlights the banks that stood out for fulfilling the unique needs and expectations of their local communities. Banks are scored based on an independent survey of approximately 26,000 U.S. residents, who rate their bank on criteria including satisfaction and likelihood of recommending it. Forbes also analyzed publicly available online text reviews and ratings to determine a combined score for each bank.

This marks the third consecutive year that Clear Mountain Bank has been recognized, including two first-place rankings in West Virginia.

"We are incredibly honored to be recognized by Forbes as one of the Best Banks in West Virginia," said David M. Thomas, president & CEO of Clear Mountain Bank. “This is our second consecutive number one ranking, which is a true testament to the dedication, hard work, and excellence our team members provide to the customers and communities we are blessed to serve.”
