Morgantown, W.Va., January 29, 2025 – Christian Help is proud to announce that it is now a Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) site, providing free income tax preparation and e-filing services to eligible individuals and families in the Morgantown area. Beginning February 5th and running through April 9th, 2025, Christian Help will offer these services every Wednesday from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at their office located at 219 Walnut St., Morgantown, WV.

The VITA program is part of a nationwide initiative designed to assist individuals who need help preparing their tax returns, especially those with limited income or resources. Christian Help is thrilled to partner with this program, making tax season easier for those who may not have access to professional tax services.

Eligibility Requirements:

People who generally earn $67,000 or less annually

People with disabilities

Limited English-speaking taxpayers

Seniors aged 60 years and older

“We’re excited to be a VITA site this year and to offer this valuable service to the Morgantown community,” said Colleen Lankford, Executive Director at Christian Help. “We understand how stressful tax season can be, especially for those who may not have the resources to pay for professional help. This program ensures everyone in our community has access to the assistance they need to file their taxes.”
