Water Witch Paddle

Description

It's a month of witching in the hills and hollows of West Virginia! Join in a Water Witch Paddle co-hosted by the Mon River Trails Conservancy and the Morgantown Area Paddlers, Sunday, October 18 from 3-6 p.m. on the Mon River. For a flat water adventure, meet at 10 Walnut Street across from Morgantown Adventure Outfitters and at the bottom of Walnut Street.

Parking is limited. 

If you are renting a kayak or paddle board, park at Hazel Ruby McQuain Park or Beechurst Avenue Parking Garage a few blocks away. Rentals of kayaks and paddle boards available at Morgantown Adventure Outfitters for $20 for 3 hours. If you are bringing a kayak, park at Walnut Street Landing.

There is a E-Z kayak launch at Walnut Street Landing for easy put in and take out. We will paddle north towards Star City before turning around and returning to take out. Be ready to get in the river at 3 p.m.

Life jackets are required! Costumes are not required but are strongly encouraged! A few extra witches hats are available for small donation to the Mon River Trails Conservancy.
