International Street Festival
Sunday, April 19, 2026 (12:00 PM - 5:00 PM) (EDT)
Description
The Annual International Street Festival will take place April 19, 2026, from noon to 5 p.m. at Morgantown Market Place, 400 Spruce St., Morgantown, West Virginia, celebrating global cultures, community connection and diversity. Hosted by West Virginia University and the office of Global Affairs, the festival provides an opportunity for students and scholars from around the world to showcase their cultures to the Morgantown community. With more than 2,000 international students representing over 100 countries, the event highlights the rich diversity found both on campus and throughout the city. Each year, the festival features student organizations representing their home countries through interactive booths. Attendees can explore cultural games, traditional foods and unique artifacts while engaging directly with students and learning about global traditions. Visitors can experience live entertainment, sample international cuisine and explore a wide variety of traditions, all in one place. The event serves as a bridge between the university and the greater Morgantown community, fostering understanding and appreciation through shared experiences. The festival is free and open to the public, welcoming students, families, community members and visitors of all ages.
The Office of Global Affairs was formed in 2016 to consolidate West Virginia University's international efforts into one central organization. Formed under the Office of the Provost, Global Affairs combines functions such as Education Abroad, International Student & Scholar Services, and WVU's Intensive English Program to create a holistic and centralized approach to internationalization at WVU.
The International Street Festival is a Main Street Morgantown Affiliate Event.
