Main Street Morgantown alongside participating downtown businesses is set to transform downtown Morgantown into a holiday shopping wonderland with the first official Downtown Dash on Saturday, December 14 from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. Presented by Breezeline, this unique event invites residents and visitors to explore local businesses, discover artisan gifts and participate in an exciting citywide scavenger hunt for a chance to win. 

Downtown Dash promises a celebration of local, featuring pop-up markets at multiple downtown locations including Apothecary Ale House, The Co-Op and Hoot & Howl. Shoppers will have the opportunity to browse unique, handcrafted holiday gifts while supporting local merchants. The highlight of the event is an interactive scavenger hunt featuring "Dash," the event's playful mascot. 

Participants can collect stamps by finding the mascot at multiple different locations throughout downtown. Those who complete the hunt will be eligible for exciting prizes from Breezeline and downtown merchants. "Downtown Dash is more than just a shopping event," said Main Street Morgantown’s Erik Carlson. "It's a celebration of our local businesses, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. We're bringing our downtown community together, transforming a great holiday season into an unforgettable shared experience that showcases the heart of Morgantown.” 

The event will feature artisan pop-up markets at three key locations: Hoot and Howl from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. The Co-Op from 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., and Apothecary Ale House from 2-6 p.m. The scavenger hunt spans an impressive list of downtown venues, including Monongalia Arts Center, Monkey Wrench Books, El Pollon, Morgantown Art Bar, River Fair Trade, Gallery 304, Linsan Soulfood, Dream Lash Beauty Lounge, Tanner's Alley Leather Design Studio, 123 Pleasant St, Chestnut Beer Hall, B.C. MaC, Cool Ridge, Levels Arcade, Monarca Taqueria, Appalachian Gallery, Pour Choices Pub & Grub, Apothecary Ale House, and Morgantown Public Library. 

The scavenger hunt is completely free and open to all ages. Participants can pick up their hunt cards at any of the participating locations and explore downtown Morgantown while searching for the Downtown Dash mascot. Completed hunt cards can be dropped off at the artisan pop-up markets at Apothecary Ale House, The Co-Op or Hoot and Howl. Downtown Dash represents a unique opportunity for the community to support local businesses, discover hidden gems in downtown Morgantown and enjoy shopping locally.
